WHY
To promote ONAMI's collaborative research labs to small businesses, startups and industry researchers looking for lab space, prototyping resources and access to some of the leading research scientists and instrument technicians in Oregon.
HOW
By walking people through what's available at each facility and the collaboration that's creating breakthroughs. In the words of Isaac Asimov, “A knotty puzzle may hold a scientist up for a century, when it may be that a colleague has the solution already and is not even aware of the puzzle that it might solve.”
WHAT
I interviewed the directors of each lab and created video scripts to encourage tech and science entrepreneurs to use the resources. I spent a lot of time translating some heady stuff and unearthing some fascinating innovation.

For example, as a farmer, how do you know if the bees you've rented are staying in your field or being unfaithful, buzzing off to work some other crop? The staff at the Electron Microscopy Facility can analyze their legs to see what kind of pollen they're carrying. If it's from another crop, they're busted.
