An essay about navigating grief and discovering humanity during COVID
SONDER
The Creative Studio at Cambia Health Solutions used to give us a day off to dabble in something creative of our choosing. We'd spend the morning on a project and then come back to the office in the afternoon to present it to the team.
I decided to do an informal study of people's perspectives of their surroundings at various locations in downtown Portland and share my findings in a Google site.

CUBE THINGS
A fun way to while away the workday and stay engaged during meetings. A coworker and I came up with a kit full of cube things, inspired by the overpopulation of business buzzwords in our office.
Chronicle Books was most amused and asked us to reconnect with them during their next buying cycle.

LUFF DOGGY DAYPACK
Tired of stuffing our pockets with poop bags and other miscellany each time we headed out for a run, hike or walk, my girlfriend and I designed this doggy daypack.
We wanted something that wouldn't pull on the leash or get in the way when we really got active. And, if we were going to repeatedly pick up our pooches' loads, we figured they could pitch in and carry our light load of bags, keys, change, etc. now and then. We had the daypacks made from leftover sail fabric and sold them in pet stores throughout the Portland area as well as through an Etsy site.
